Background Bayer 04 Leverkusen
The first
German football club to do so, on April 1, 1999, Bayer 04 separated the
professional football section from the overall "TSV Bayer 05 Leverkusen"
association and founded Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH. Since then
the club as consistently developed into a respected football brand in
Germany. As the sporting ensign of the city of Leverkusen and the region
in general, Bayer 04 shines by playing top-level football in a
highly-emotional environment. In addition to the admirable performances
of recent years, the extremely successful "Werkself" campaign has
increased the reputation and popularity of Bayer 04 beyond the borders
of Leverkusen. As one of 6 subsidiary companies, BaySports Travel
completes the portfolio of Bayer 04 Fußball GmbH in the area of travel
logistics and event management.
Background HRG Hogg Robinson Germany
One
of the primary goals of HRG Germany is to analyse the market
conditions, follow the development of the market and react with the
appropriate measures. For more than 40 years, HRG Germany (previously
BTW Euro Lloyd) has been successfully involved in the sporting sector,
so much so that in 2000 its work with Bayer 04 Leverkusen led to a joint
venture – BaySport Travel GmbH. The club management of Bayer 04
Leverkusen was one of the first Bundesliga clubs to appreciate the
benefits of having its own travel agency. A travel agency which is
optimally tailored to its own requirements but also complements and
extends the palette of services for the club as a full travel agency
with the background of a globally-active company. Team spirit, the
personal touch and perfect service all-round – that is what brought
Bayer 04 Leverkusen and HRG together! Since July 2000 the joint venture
travel agency has operated as BaySports Travel.
The club
management of Bayer 04 not only appreciates the well-grounded
sport-specific experience, but also the inclusion of BaySports Travel
and the entire HRG sports line in a joint company whose size and range
of services brings great advantages to the company as a whole.
